Valse Triste, or “Sad Waltz” would be right at home as a soundtrack for a movie like “The Godfather.” It has a subtly demure character. Initially sketched out on paper with chords and a melody, it grew and grew – in its current form, at times there are 4 separate parts going – two in each hand for the piano! This has inspired me to re-arrange this work for piano / cello – coming soon!
